Week 11

I downloaded Firefox and found it easy to use. I installed as an add-on 123 travel search as I love to travel.

The bookmarkletes I downloaded were Journal Title and Keyword Title. I liked this feature as it is a quick and easy way to do research.

Week 10

I think gaming and virtual worlds would be of interest to libraries.  You could use it as a resource and teaching tool in many areas of research and in various classes.  History in particular as you could recreate a certain era that is to be studied and have many participants.

It is gaming week and this is the fun part.  I play all types of games including board and card games.  I also play Xbox 360 on occassion.   I like the golf, tetris, bejeweled, pacman and the live arcade.

The online games I play on are Pogo.  I am addicted according to my Husband. I even payed for a yearly subscription, created my own Pogo Mini and play whenever I can. I do not know why my Husband says I am addicted!!!!!   I find it very relaxing after a stressful day at work.

Week 9

I have an account on Facebook and My Space already so this week is a breeze.

I find Facebook a good social tool but getting all the emails when people write on your wall or send a message can be quite time consuming. 

I am not as comfortable in My Space as do not find it as easy to use.

Week 8

It was nice having a break for 2 weeks but now we are back at it.  

I have explored a few of the web based applications and found them very interesting.  It is nice to know there are lots of options out there.  If it were not for this course giving us the exposure, many of us would be still doing things the same old way.

Week 5

I just finished the assignment for week 5. I searched on delicious and google and found delicious more user friendly and it had less things to sift through than google.  I tagged on delicious and searched cool pictures on flicker.

Week 4

I am getting the hang of all this techi stuff.  I just created my first pbwiki and linked it under my blogroll.  It is cool. Wish I had more time to play around I guess I know one of the things I will be doing when I retire!!!

Week 2

I have recently returned from my trip to Punta Cana it was very nice.  The resort was amazing and the beaches are out of this world.
